Sound Healing & Chakra Rebalancing
What is a Chakra?
Chakras are energy points within the body. The word actually means wheel. So there are eleven energy centres within your body that we work with in Chakra rebalancing using tuning forks. These energy fields are connected to the organs, the meridians, the emotional centres, the thought centres ect. they keep the Divine energy, life force, prana or grace flowing throughout our bodies.
A session will start with you resting comfortable on a massage table. You will be asked to relax and just let the vibrations enter the needed areas, and sometimes a guided visualisation will be used if necessary. The tuning forks will be held over each chakra, or in the area of the ears. The chakra then recognizes the frequency and moves back into place if out of alignment and/or attunes to the correct tuning if off.
We are all affected by the world around us: by what we eat; drink; breathe; and our five senses. The body is trying to stay in balance. The body will do whatever it has to stay in balance even, if it is harmful to us. A disease is not the problem; it is only the symptom of what is out of alignment.
We are given Grace/Life Force 24 hours a day and it flows through us all the time Look at it like a road and each chakra is a path for the energy to flow through. If the path is crooked with turns, you have to slow down to stay on the road and as you slow down you start a traffic jam. Grace, like cars, begins to back up. If you have a straight road you can zoom through i;, there is nothing blocking the energy flow. When there is nothing slowing Grace down, you have the life force flowing through you as it was meant, when in turn helps the body heal and stay in balance, how it is meant to be.
Chakra Definition
The BASE or ROOT chakra is the grounded-ness of our being. Sit on your bottom and get comfortable with what is.
The SACRAL or NAVEL chakra is where we experience gut feeling, which is where our emotions reside. Different emotions such as love; hate; desire; want; repulsion, etc, are all judgments and assessments about how we feel about certain things. Someone who has been hurt in a relationship often exclaims, “Oh, I feel as if I’ve been kicked in the guts.”
The SOLAR PLEXIS chakra is the central point of your physical body for the nerves. This is an internal function versus an external function of the throat chakra.
The SOLAR PLEXIS and the THROAT chakras are complementary. The balancing of these two Chakras allows you to give and receive freely.
The HEART chakra is love; the capacity to have things happen, to get things you like, desire. Love is Love; it is complete because it is giving and receiving energy, it always produces more. The heart is the centre of your physical and spiritual being-ness, your soul. Who you are resides in your heart.
The throat chakra is where you communicate to the external world.
The 3rd EYE or BROW chakra has a physical feeling that goes along with it – peace. The senses are heightened, alive and one often experience the Divine plan of unconditional Love. The 3rd eye allows one to see things as they really are because there is no emotional attachment to what is going on. It allows you to see life the way that it is – perfect, whole and complete. Through our physical eyes we see people and processes through our emotions. The 3rd eye allows us to see something the way it is, totally unobstructed by physical flaws that are created by feelings. This helps you to be free of emotions that can get in the way of what really is.
The CROWN CHAKRA transcends all that we know. It allows us to grasp spiritual concepts. What are spiritual concepts? Concepts are possibilities; they are seeable possibilities or truths; and all springs out of awareness. The crown chakra allows us to grasp our essence.
The CROWN and the ROOT CHAKRA are complimentary. Picture a tree. If you could view a cross-section of a tree, you would notice that the roots look like the branches on top. All the physical elements that the tree needs to grow come from the ground. The roots anchor it; a place to be, or to stand. As you rise through the tree, like you would rise through the chakras in the body, we come to the branches and the canopy of the leaves. Therefore the root ball of a tree is like the base chakra anchoring you to the physical and the canopy of leaves receiving nourishment from the light of the sun, representing enlightenment for you through your crown.
